the heart behind Wadadlivity
It all started when…
“I took my first yoga class in 2008 and I didn’t see anyone who looked like me.”
Fast-forward 18 years…
Wadadlivity is proud to offer an Afro-Caribbean perspective on wellness.
Wadadlivity started off as an Instagram diary for my vegan recipes and yoga journey. It quickly blossomed into a community of people curious about the benefits of a plant-based diet and mindful movement.
My world shattered after losing my husband to cancer. I stepped away from the business to grieve and gather the pieces of our life. When I returned, it was with a renewed sense of purpose: to make wellness accessible, culturally grounded, and rooted in compassion. I believe everyone deserves spaces where they can breathe, heal, and feel held.
I was born and raised on the island of Antigua and these experiences are reflected in everything I do - from the way I dress to the products and services I design. Although I don’t publish recipes anymore, our events continue to promote local and regional plant-based cuisine.
At its heart, Wadadlivity is my commitment to improving physical and mental well‑being within communities of color. My hope is that when you land here, you feel empowered to take charge of your health, reconnect with yourself, and explore practices that support intentional living.
