Meet Tanya
Tanya Ambrose is a compassionate public health professional and Maternal, Child, and Reproductive Health Specialist dedicated to advancing health equity and expanding access to care for underserved communities.
With a background spanning clinical care, research management, project coordination, and community health education, she brings a multidisciplinary approach to supporting women, girls, and families.
As a Health Educator, Certified Lactation Counselor, and Birth & Postpartum Doula, Tanya blends evidence‑based practice with deeply human, culturally grounded care. Her work centers reproductive justice, meeting people where they are and equipping them with the knowledge and tools to make informed decisions about their health.
Tanya is the Founder & CEO of Scrub Life Cares, a nonprofit championing menstrual equity, combating period poverty, and delivering comprehensive reproductive and sexual health education across the U.S. and the Caribbean. Her leadership has earned global recognition, including being named a POCstock Top 50 Future of Black America honoree, and she has presented her research at APHA and other international health forums.
She is also the host of Tea with Tanya, a podcast creating space for honest, transformative conversations about health, wellness, and positive living.
